Exploring the 3eme

We spent this afternoon exploring the 3eme arrondissement of Paris and it is definitely my favourite so far. Le Marais district, as it's called, is a maze of winding streets and boulevards filled with boutiques, cafés and concept stores.

Our first stop was for lunch at Grazie. The pizzas were fantastic, as was the wine and the decor: dark, moody and a little shabby (in a good way). I would definitely recommend this place as a great lunch spot.

Our next stop was Merci, the charity concept store. I loved the little red Fiat parked out the front...

...and the current floral theme to the decorations.

This chandelier was to die for.

I could quite happily have walked away with half the store, but I was very disciplined and came out with only two rolls of Japanese washi tape in fluoro pink and black & white stripes and a little notebook, although I have a feeling I will be back for more.

Creme puffs from Popelini,
mine was chocolat au lait confit fruit de la passion (milk chocolate with passionfruit) and Harry's was citron (lemon).

Les Archives de la Presse, a vintage magazine/newspaper store.

Another concept store, Fleux, and this one has an online store so you can check it out too. Lots of pink...

...Pantone candles...

...and this awesome purple lamp (a little pricey at €669).

Lastly, a few more random street shots... petite flower bouquets, a public garden and colourful stools.
